FAQ

Can I get a refund if I am not satisfied with the artwork?

At the moment we do not offer refunds on any of the artwork, however if the customer is
unhappy with the standard of artwork we can re-draw the requested picture until the
customer is completely satisfied. Please be aware that each piece of artwork takes time and effort. It is a unique bespoke order for which the artist has to be compensated for in the time and effort taken to create the work.

How long does delivery usually take?

Between the time the picture has been ordered and commissioned the art creation and delivery can take between 7-14 days. Different factors will be taken into account, such as
complexity of the picture, the number of people being drawn, the confirmation from the
customer and completion of the final artwork.

We use Royal Mail service and aim to send via next delivery or 1-3 working days.

If any problems arise we would contact the customer to reassure them.

Tracking numbers can also be provided.

Can I make changes to the artwork after it has been completed by the artist?

Changes can be made at the final stage and after the picture has been finished depending
on what is requested. There are limitations and the changes would have to be small.

If it is a case of changing a figure’s stance, or likeness or adding another figure to the
picture, a new commission would have to be requested.

If changes need to be made please alert us at the earliest time to give the artist an
opportunity to implement those changes to the artwork.

How will the artwork be sent to me?

The artwork is posted in a postal tube, a large hardback letter or small hardback letter.
This all depends on the size of the artwork.

  • A1 – sent in a postal tube
  • A2 - sent in a postal tube
  • A3 – sent in a postal tube or
  • A3 hardback envelope
  • A4/ smaller image – sent in a
  • A4 hardback envelope
  • Digital image – sent via email attachment

What if the artwork arrives damaged or faulty?

We do our best to secure the artwork in it’s postal package but occasionally artwork may be
at risk of slight damage en route to delivery. If this occurs we would be happy to recreate
the work for the customer and arrange a more secure way of delivery on the second
attempt. The customer would have to verify the faulty artwork by sending a photo of the
damaged item.

Can changes be made even after the artwork is sent to me? Would I have to returnthe artwork for the artist to make changes to the artwork?

Unfortunately we do not accept returned artwork to adjust or change. The customer would
have to reorder another commission in this case.

What is the difference between Hand drawn and digital caricatures?

Hand drawn caricatures are drawn by hand on paper, usually on cartridge paper of 200 –
300gsm grade with graphite pencil of HB or darker. At the final stage of completion a
number of materials may be used including inks, marker pens, chalk pastels, coloured
pencils, and watercolour paints.

Digital caricatures are created with the heavy addition of computer software.

The drawing is done by hand and then scanned and edited with computer software.
